To assess body load of toxic metals, I strongly recommend the following assessment protocol. Must be done in collaboration with an environmental doctor. Basically, first morning urine tells you current exposure while the urine taken after the chelating agent assesses body load. This later assessment is controversial, but is the best currently available without taking a biopsy.

Sample 1 for current exposure:

  1. Collect first morning urine

  2. Send to lab

Sample 2 for body load:

  1. Take 300 mg of DMPS and 500 mg of DMSA (access to these drugs requires a doctor)

  2. Collect urine for 6 hours

  3. Send to lab
